"Of all the days throughout your life,
The saddest one has come,
For life will never be the same
Without your loving mum.
And though your heart is breaking,
And it will for quite a while,
Remember all the love she gave,
The radiance of her smile.
A mother's love provides the rock
You build your life upon,
It stays with you forever
And it helps you carry on.

From the tree of life, each leaf must fall
The green, the gold, the great, the small;
Each one in God's own time, He'll call
With perfect love He gathers all.

These are his footprints,
So perfect and so small,
These tiny footprints,
Never touched the ground at all.

Not one tiny footprint,
For now he has his wings,
These tiny footprints were
Meant, for other things.

You will hear his tiny footprints,
In the patter of the rain,
Gentle drops like angel’s tears,
Of joy and not from pain.

You will see his tiny footprints,
In each butterflies’ lazy dance.
He’ll let you know he’s with you,
If you just give him a chance.

You will see his tiny footprints,
In the rustle of the leaves.
He will whisper names into the wind,
and call each one that grieves.

Most of all, these tiny footprints,
Are found in mum and dads heart,
‘cause even though he’s gone now,
you’ll never be apart.

The tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains.....
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.

Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard but always near,
Still loved, still missed, still very dear.

To the living I am gone
To the sorrowful I will never return
To the angry I was cheated
But to the happy I am at peace
And to the faithful, I have never left
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard
So as you stand upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me
As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty
remember me
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity - remember me
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, and your memories of the times we loved,
the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed
For if you always think of me, I will have never gone.

Sympathy Verses

I’ll lend you for a little while a horse of mine, god said, For you to love while she’s alive, and mourn for when she’s dead.
It may be for ten or twenty years, or maybe more than these, But will you, till I call her back, care for her, for me?
She’ll bring you joy to gladden you, and should her stay be brief, You shall have her memories, and solace for your grief.
I cannot promise she will stay, for all on earth return, But there are lessons taught down there, I want this horse to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over, in my search for teachers true, And from all the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you.
Will you give her all your love, and not think the labour in vain? Nor hate me when I come to call, and take her back again?
Will you shelter her with tenderness, and love her while you may? And for all the happiness you have known, forever grateful stay?
But should the angels call for her, much sooner than you planned, Brave the bitter grief that comes, and please try to understand...
