I have always loved doing arty things and loved art classes at school. I began my professional life as a dancer and spent my free time, between jobs, making my own clothes. Later, while on the road touring with bands as a singer, I used to occupy the days doing cross-stitch, tapestry or knitting - not very rock 'n' roll, I know!!

Having finally settled down and got a 'proper job', my crafting obsession began in 2002 when I went to a few classes at a local craft store to learn dry embossing and then heat embossing which got me into rubber stamps. This lead me to go in at the deep end and make my own wedding invitations when John and I got married in November 2002. From then on I gradually got more and more hooked on making my own cards, discovered the Card Inspirations Forum online and suddenly made a whole lot of new friends with whom to exchange ideas and from whom I learned a lot.

I also joined a group of people, mostly from the USA, on a website called The Stamper Art Gallery which also gave me huge inspiration and support. And, of course, more recently, I have joined Sara's forum Cardmaking Paradise, linked to her brilliant online magazine, where we share crafting tips and show our work etc.

I gave up my 'proper job' years ago but am still singing professionally and still loving it. I live on the South Coast with my wonderful husband who tolerates my huge stash of ever-growing craft stuff gradually taking over our office.

More recently I have got into mixed media stuff a bit, love making ATCs and am feeling my way into altered art....if only there were more hours in a day!! I really love rubber stamping and get excited by colour and texture but, when approaching a new project, rarely have a plan and just let things develop.
