Owl Shaped Card

Project and template designed by Sara Sandberg

Step 3

Take your back piece, and add your adhesive above the score line.

Attach your front owl piece to it.

Take your wing pieces.

We are going to attach them behind the owl - we want them to show from the front either side so think about this when attaching them.

Attach them as shown making sure they are attached below the score line.

Step 4

Add the claws. They need to overhang the bottom slightly - but not too much as it will topple your owl backwards!

Step 5

Turn your owl over.

Add one of the tail pieces to the centre as shown.

Add the two remaining pieces over it as shown.

Once the tail pieces are dry, bend them up one by one level with the bottom of the card.

Step 1

Cut out your template pieces. I have inked the edges of my pieces using a piece of cutn’dry foam gently dabbed on my ink pad.

Take the back piece - the piece without the score fold. Take the head strip and attach it to the top centre of the body as shown.

Step 2

Now add the back eye pieces.

The eyes.

And the beak.

Eye area alternative

I used some daisy dies to give a feathery effect to the eyes, cutting off the petals and placing them behind the eye.
