After cutting out the template, I inked the edges with Van Dyke Brown from the Nick Bantock collection of ink pads by Ranger. I cut up squares of Cut-n-Dry foam for inking edges, keeping the square with the inkpad and using it over and over again. One sheet of Cut-n-Dry lasts years! Inking the edges really gives things a great finishing touch.

Step 2

I put a bit of black card where the gap in the extra face pieces will be.

Step 3

To see where you want the eyes to go, just lay the extra nose bits in place as shown, but do not stick them down, as the eyes go behind them!

Step 4

Once you have stuck the eyes down, you can stick the remaining pieces into place.

Step 5

Stick the oval to the back of the dogs head, with the dogs head at a slight angle for cuteness! Stick it behind where the eyes are. You can now use this extended piece to add the puppy to your projects. Alternatively you can glue the puppy straight on, putting adhesive on the very bottom of the back of the puppy’s chin!
